CRA Holds Talks with Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku.
Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku on Tuesday hosted the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) team, led by Commissioner Dr. George Midiwo, for a courtesy call.
The meeting focused on County Revenue Management Systems (RMS) ,assessing revenue performance, addressing challenges, and reviewing Own Source Revenue (OSR) Strategies.
Governor Lenku commended the CRA for supporting counties in boosting their OSR and for its advisory role on financial management and resource allocation. He highlighted the Commission’s key role in recommending financing and management strategies for both levels of government.
CRA Commissioner Dr.Midiwo indicated the Commission’s commitment to equitable revenue sharing, recommending the equalization fund formula, enhancing own source revenues, promoting fiscal responsibility, and identifying marginalized areas through regular policy reviews.
Kajiado OSR has grown due to improved revenue strategies, revenue automation, stakeholder engagement and enforcement strategies.
