Kajiado County is set to benefit immensely in strengthening its devolution, processes following expertise partnership with the State Department for Devolution.
A team from the Department led by Ms. Margaret Osili who is the National Programme Coordinator for the Kenya Devolution Support Programme (KDSP II) toured the county today with a view to assisting the Monitoring and Evaluation Assessment to deliver Devolution in a better way to its citizens.
The officials were received by Chief Officer Devolution Joshua Mepukori and the County’s Head of Human Resource and Development, Ms Winfred Taiko .
The KDSP 11 programme aims at monitoring and offering technical assistance with the mission of reviewing the county’s progress in implementing KDSP II activities.
The team is also in the county to identify gaps and areas of non-compliance so as to recommend corrective measures ahead of an official assessment.
Also present were members of the KDSP II County Project Implementation Unit.
The visit underscores the strong collaboration between the national and county governments in strengthening service delivery to ensure that devolution continues to transform lives at the grassroots.
